Easter Chaos

The Gang

The Warriors Ready for Battle

The Most Challenging Part: Keeping the Pants Up
(You should have seen the shot I deleted!)

Saturday we all survived the Family Easter Celebration. While it was touch and go, there were no amputations necessary. It was a smaller, but more intreprid group than in prior years. Only two teams were actually duct taped together: Corey, Karine and Gibson & Amanda and Kristin. This did not however mean we would use less duct tape. Oh no, to participate one must suffer. But then let's face it, if you been a part of one of our reunions, you knew this going in...

Grandpa... on a sugar low??
Apparently those under 5 and over 85 didn't feel the need to endure the torture to be able to participate. While we did consider strapping Madison & Grandpa together, we just couldn't bring ourselves to do this to the little old man...

Corey & Baby Gibson
Truly one of the highlights of the day was watching Madison and Grandpa together. Maddy treats "Great Grandpa" like the celebrity he's always been sure that he is (and apparently none of the rest of us have ever figured this out!). Madison got grandpa seated, made sure he put his feet up (this is a TRUE story), and told him how much she miss-ed him. Why is this word so much cuter when it's two syllables! She also made him a present, which involved a piece of school papers, a little pen and a lot of medical tape. He was speechless.

Madison & Great Grandpa Enjoying a Visit
Now that she had him settled in

It was great seeing everyone. Thanks to all of you who made the effort to come on by. For those who couldn't be there.... your loss! Doug, I am so sorry about the Avalanche Control!!!
Releasing the Prisoners
Ahhh. Feel the Blood Flow
Nothin' like a little Sidewalk Chalk to Relax after a Crazy Egg Hunt.

One of these days, I am going to be there! It looks like so much fun. By the way, Nathan is warming to the idea of Seattle. He has recently consented to the possibility of a summer home there. Let me just pull out the checkbook...

Oh, look at your faces. Bravely pretending that it was fun without us there. I am sure Karine especially missed Shane blitzing her while trying to get those precious eggs. Good times.

It looks like you all ha a great time! I so wish we could have been there. How fun would it have been to tape Caiden to Maddie! The battle of the wills! This way, no this way! Maybe next year!

It was wonderful to see you. Madison has been talking about you non-stop! She carries her little Easter bucket you gave her all over. OF course there is no more candy in it, and somehow magically the sticky goop you bought her just disappeared! :)
THank you for a fabulous day! You are the best hostess.
Love ya,
Neen

I'm so glad that we're able to come out (better late than never, right?...at least that's what I tell myself) I'm totally bummed we missed the Easter Egg Hunt! We had so much fun the last time we did it!

With love,
Melissa
